This is a good story. It pulls you in and makes you care about the H/h. There is good world building along with intrigue, suspense and romance. While most loose ends are tied up at the end, I got the feeling that there could well be another story tied to this one. I recommend this book and hope to see another one after this. Jesaja is a "godling", and while at first glance it may seem unlikely he has much in common with the entertainer Kaley who is going to make 3 of his ailing days more bearable, it turns out they have quite a bit in common. I would never describe this story as misery loves company, but perhaps as, sometimes it takes one to know one.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and it is the second work by Taylor Neptune I've gotten to read. I look forward to more from this author who writes solid characters, well placed stories, and puts plot points where the story calls for them not necessarily where you typically encounter them.
Kaley’s is a great performer she dances and dose magic she is beautiful and then there is a bomb go off in the ship so she is not wanting to do private shows but they are cutting off her funds and she needs money for a special reason. Prince Jesaja, who has been kept completely innocent and isolated and dose not know what is happening he is weak he is a warrier so when he see's Kaley perfoming he is so exciteded it is a great read you will love it fast pasted and the author is a great writer. This book is definitely a great read, The pace throughout the book was even, the beginning, middle and end. Both characters had detail by the middle of the book. The ending was not rushed like in the last book. The story line was great and I would not change. The only thing I would have loved to have seen whats about the sisters, we get some detail about them, but but by the end of the book there future is still in limbo. Now if they are in the next book I understand the cut off. But I would have liked to have seen them reunited and at the wedding for some closure. Overall the book has balance, I would love to see more like this.

Kaley is trying to work so she can raise money to help her sisters. She performs on ships but doe not take private jobs due to security concerns. When a really good offer comes in at a bad time, she goes against her instincts and takes the job.
She does not expect to meet Prince Jesaja who is a prince-godling. Prince Jesaja is kept isolated due to his illness. It becomes clear to them that those who trusted are manipulating them both and they must work together to find freedom and safety.
It is a shorter story and it did surprise me. I expected it to go in another direction based on the opening. Kaley is an interesting character with a complicated history. I wasn't sure what to make of Prince Jesaja at first. He is stronger than he appears. I wish there had been more time to spend with the characters and an opportunity for the Prince to narrate too.

This is the 3rd book I have read by this author and by far, my favorite. This book had a The Da Vinci Code/Illuminati feel to it. I loved that. It was definitely something different and trying to figure out what was happening kept me enthralled.
Our H is Prince Jesaja. He is a Godling that will soon be turning into a full God when he is 21. Our h is Kaley. She is a performer/illusionist on a ship that is trying to save money to buy her own ship and rescue her sisters. Kaley and the rest of the performers are having so much of their pay deducted that Kaley is getting discouraged. She is always asked to do private performances but has always declined, until now. She agrees to 3 days were of performances and a bodyguard. When she boards the dragon spaceship, she is greeted by the guardian priest of the Godling. There is something about him that doesn't seem right. She is given strict instructions on what she can and cannot allow in her performances. When she meets Jesaja and sees how weak he is, she knows something bad is going on. Who is weakening the the Godling and why?
I loved this book, I can't say that enough. I don't think I have ever read anything with an Illuminati feel to it before but I would love to read more like it. Definitely can't wait to see if another book will follow this one and where the author will go with it.

TAYLOR NEPTUNE continues to write rather sweet little reading. Her characters have to overcome obstacles and sometimes insecurities to find their own HEA. I enjoy reading these books for they have a sweet theme in each of their own special storyline. So check out for yourself and enjoy the experience with me.🛀🔰🔟😍
